Scarcely half-an-hour after arriving at Marakele National Park on the 29th of June, while making our way between reception and our allocated tent at Tlopi Tented Camp, we were met by this beautiful male lion, out patrolling and marking his territory. It really is nice to have your arrival acknowledged by the local royalty, don’t you think?

Ons seun en sy vrou het hierdie week die Kruger se wit leeu, Casper te siene gekry. Jou fotos is weereens besonders, de Wet.
Met die dat ons Satara se spesiale wit leeu ook al gesien het kan ek bevestig wat n wonderlike ervaring dit is!
Tot my skande was ek nie eens bewus van hierdie leeu nie.
Rede om n draai in die Wildtuin te maak wanneer julle weer hierdie kant van die Lebombos is!
Noudat die grenspos deur die wildtuin weer uiteindelik oop is, beplan ons om laat Aug so deur te ry, de Wet.

You might be closer to the truth than you thought, Anne – we always notice, since he was very small, how the big predators take a particular interest in Joubert!
