Today marks the tenth anniversary of de Wets Wild‘s “birth”.
We’re grateful for the very many friends we made along the way and for all your kindness and encouragement. Thank you.
What better way to celebrate this milestone than taking a quick tour through the wild places of the beautiful country that inspired this blog to begin with!?

I scrolled through the photos three times! That zig-zag design of the waterfall image is really nice. The header image, stunning. So many amazing vistas, memories, immersions in wrap-around nature!

Seems like yesterday at times; you have shown us lovely facets of the best of your world. The bonus has been watching Joubert as his boots get a bit bigger each year, and he steps into his own destiny. The owl, fly fishing – so many amazing moments and travels.
Here in Ecuador we have the Yellow-billed Pintail, quite rare on ‘my’ side of the country, but a few managed to drop in to be counted last year.
As far as unique species, I think that you win hands down! We don’t have lions.. or zebras.. or giraffes, etc etc….
May we still be swapping stories in another ten years! Joubert will probably be a top photographer for National Geographic!

Congratulations! I wish you the best, my friend. You are doing all the right thing to help Mother Nature and I’m proud of it. Today, you are showing so many wonderful places to demonstrate how vast is the African territory and how beautiful it is. Let’s keep it that way, forever! Thank you. 🙂
