The lady that stops traffic

This lioness was using the bridge outside Lower Sabie in the Kruger National Park as her own personal catwalk, settling down to give her adoring fans some close up views of her beauty – and I was lucky to get a front-row seat!

But lions aren’t always such show-offs – sometimes they like to keep their distance, and other times they lie hidden in plain sight…

      Nice to be in a place where people still respect nature that much, Jez!
      And yes, that lone buffalo bull certainly was an option for lunch – at one point I genuinely expected her to turn around and go after him, until she flopped down in regal repose…

      And no-one seems to know her royal status better than herself! This is indeed a regular scene in the Kruger Park, Lois – one of the reasons why we and thousands of other people visit over and over and over.
