Summer in the bush: Chelmsford, 13 December 2014

Today marks the start of our long-awaited, epic summer holidays in the bush, and we’re kicking it off with a visit to the lovely Chelmsford Nature Reserve. We’d have loved to post a photo from here for you this evening, but unfortunately the network connection’s just not good enough 😦

Seems we are able to post to our facebook page though πŸ™‚

EditΒ 15 December 2014: At last I could add the photo I wanted to 2 days ago πŸ˜€

Due to leave within a week although not sure it’s going ahead as my daughter got sick last week – HSP with sore legs 😦 Fingers crossed she recovers soon. We’ll keep you updated from one or the other from The Wallace line!

Out in the South African wild, cellular network coverage still is very patchy Amy. That’s not neccesarily a bad thing, but it can be a downer if you want to share holidaypics with your blogging friends πŸ˜‰

I think I will be back in Africa this August. My son, who is an actor, has been invited to perform in a play in Cape Town end of August, beginning of September. I feel that this impels me to return at this time. Hopefully I will get to Kruger, Durban and Drakensburg, Namibia dunes and Etosha before I join him for a few days in Cape Town. I thought I was lucky to make the trip once. I am ecstatic at the prospect of doing it again, but on a much less expensive level.
