The Witpoortjie Falls, in the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden, where we spent several hours today enjoying the scenic surroundings, soaring eagles and the company of wonderful friends.
“Angular” is the theme for this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge
Baie pragtig, ek moet se! (LOL, my engels is nie te sleg nie, is dit?) Van nou af, tik ek net in Afrikaans. Want ek kan 🙂

LOL, I meant to type “my Afrikaans is nie te sleg nie” but typed Engels instead. My husband is Afrikaans speaking – van Pretoria af, well first Cape town and then Pretoria 🙂 (“Die Taal bietjie to gooi”, love it! Apparently my five year old level Afrikaans is very cute, but wouldn’t be able to hold a full conversation – I am very bad at languages in general!)

I’m sure it’s not half as bad as you think Vonita!

Yay, now you are taking me back to my home town, I used to live just on the other side of the ridge! (Helderkruin / wilropark area). Used to love stalking the eagles, especially when they were feeding their chicks 🙂

We’ll be dedicating a special post to the gardens soon Vonita, and I’m sure that’ll bring you many more happy memories. We saw the two adult eagles, and their grown-up chick, performing spectacularly over the Roodekrans next to the waterfall. Amazing!

Thank you so much, that will be lovely, we used to go there often 🙂 Just sad about all the encroachment around the area. But good to hear the eagles are still there and breeding!

Sjoe – pragtig. Niks so lekker dan koel bruisende bergwater in ‘n hemelse omgewing!

Oh, I think you must ALWAYS find something in your photographic files: and how wonderful is it to wander through them …?
