We’re participating in the online adventure travel and photography magazine LetsBeWild.com‘s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge for bloggers. This week’s challenge was “Scary“ and we are thrilled to have received another honorable mention for our entry!

OMG. That’s really scared me!
You are not alone in feeling that way Citra! Thanks for stopping by.
Yowsers! I’m not usually averse to the odd suspension bridge – but these photos have my palms sweating already!
The thought of plunging into oblivion gets the heart pounding for sure!
I break out into a sweat just looking at this. I wouldn’t make it.
Yep Tuxedo Sophisticated Cat, we like our feet firmly on solid ground!
So beautiful! I love walking on those – but alone…
You are a very brave person lagottocattleya!
The stuff my nightmares are made of. 🙂 My knees buckle just looking at the bridge.
We know the feeling Imelda!
Oh my – I think my toes just involuntarily gripped the ground just thinking about being up there!
Stomach turning stuff isn’t it Jessie?!
i love it!!!! i would walk it if no one else was walking it at the same time. you get that ripple effect.
for years i crossed a river via suspension bridgei during the rainy season in costa rica. i loved the springy happy feeling. a few friends did not like it at all and preferred to wade the river if it wasn’t too high.
great photo and perfect for this challenge!
Thank you for the positive feedback Zeebra Designs! You must have nerves of steel!
Most of what we fear is all in our minds; we think of what might happen, which rarely happens!
adjusting to the ‘spring spring’ of the bridge should take a minute or so, and just like riding a bicycle, we get more confident with practice!
i love your post!

You are absolutely right – it is about having the guts to take those first couple of steps. But I’d rather be charged by a whole herd of elephants (and I have!). I tip my hat to you! And thank you again for liking our entry!
There is no way I would walk across that bridge. Beautiful photo.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
We have to admit Francine, our thoughts exactly! The fact that Marilize was 5 months pregnant at the time was a useful excuse… The bridge is very sturdy and undoubtedly safe, but boy oh boy is it high above the gorge!
