Well, not really – our bookings were made long before the current health crisis and we opted not to cancel, figuring that it is nice to know that for a while at least we can breathe the fresh mountain air of the Royal Natal National Park again. So here we are.

I’d say that’s a great place to practice “social distancing”. I haven’t heard much on the news about the effects of COVID-19 in the African continent. Stay safe, my friend.
So far we have 270+ confirmed cases here in South Africa, John, and by far the most of those were imported from Europe. Thankfully no deaths yet. Our government acted quicker than many ohers to try and prevent local infections which is commendable and will save many lives.
Thank you for your kind blessing on our health – of course we pray for your safety and health as well.
That looks wild and restful all at the same time, Dries. Enjoy yourself, but if you can, keep a close eye on developments. You may find yourself locked out from returning home. In Australia, interstate travel is effectively banned.
Thanks, Tracy. With two-thirds of our family in “higher risk” categories perhaps being holed up far away from the city would be the best for us! Wishing you and your famly well during the coming weeks and months.
A good strategy if you are provisioned for a long stay, Dries. Take care. Hugs to you all.
What a lovely spot to flee to. Enjoy your time in the great outdoors and stay safe!
Thanks Lori, and we wish you safety and continued good health too.
Much better there than in a city! Take care and have fun!
That was our thinking as well, Deb, with 2 out of the 3 of us being in “higher risk” categories it just seemed so much safer far away from the cities. We pray you, your husband, father and all the rest of your family too will remain safe and healthy through this ordeal.
Thank you, Dries. I just saw that coronavirus cases in South Africa have increased quite a bit, and the same is happening here, although we live “in the middle of nowhere” and are relatively safer. We will be thinking of and praying for you all.
Ek kry nie ge-like nie! Hoop die kom darem deur. Veilig bly en geniet dit.
Baie dankie Ineke, en beste wense vir jou en jou mense ook.
Stay safe!
And you, Sue!
Thanks!
Enjoy the fresh mountain air Dries, it’s a wonderful place to get away for a while 🙂
Thanks Xenia. We wish you well too!
Thank you Dries!
Enjoy the respite in the beautiful mountains and take care.
Thanks Carol, and to you as well!
Good choice – stay well!
And you dear Ann-Christine!
♥
Geniet dit Ek wag vir die foto’s! Veilig bly.
Baie dankie, Tina, en alles van die beste daar by jou ook.
What a WONDERFUL place to unwind, breathe in fresh mountain air, drink fresh water, and to pretend that all is well with the world. ENJOY!
Thank you, Anne. Difficult even here to forget the aweful situation the world is facing.
Since you are theee, make the best of it. There’s madness abound here with the panic buying etc. Enjoy. 🤗
I hope we as South Africans can find our “ubuntu” sooner rather than later in this crisis!
True. 🤗
They closed the parks here so no camping for now…. Be safe!
And you as well, Lois!
May G-d keep you, your family and crew, healthy and safe. Take care, my friend. 🙂
The same beautiful blessing to you and your dear ones as well, dear H.J.
