It’s the third day of unrelenting rainfall at Satara in the Kruger National Park, and it’s still pouring down cats and dogs. Well, cats anyway. Big cats! And lions to be precise.

Beautiful animals! It’s a great thing to have great parks, that protect wildlife for posterity. Thank you, D. 🙂
You are so right, H.J. We strive for all
people to realise how special and important places like these are.
Looks like the weather is keeping the lions out and about. The sandgrouse looks to be rather soggy.
I think the cats, and other animals, found the roads offered much better ease of movement than the veld!
I wouldn’t like to have been game viewing in the sort of steady unrelenting downpour we have had for the past few days! It just never stops!
We had that same weather for 4 straight days at Satara, and still I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!
Ah, but you were able to move between a fixed shelter and a portable one!
And for that we are grateful!
Enjoy the rain and then wish it our way 🙂
We definitely are, Anne!
The lion brothers are a handsome duo and the lion cub–such a cute face.
We witnessed the scared cub reunuting with his mother who was out hunting – such a touching scene!
Poor little one. Glad he found his mama.
More love. 🙂

And we love you for it, Janet – thank you!
