Time to wrap up the photographic trip report of our recent visit to the Eastern Shores of Lakes St. Lucia, with a gallery of some of the larger animals we encountered on land and sea in the place of miracles and wonders – the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.

What a beautiful, restful place. I’m sure you had a wonderful time.
And to think there’s people actually lucky enough to live there permanently!
Jou foto’s laat my altyd glimlag
I love “Blue Wildebeest”
Thanks P J B. They’re a common sight at iSimangaliso, but I never tire of seeing them.
So many good picture you have shot, Dries! They are very good and amazing. I must admit tha I haven´t seen man of them. Thanks for your amazing blog with great pictures. 🙂
You’re always so kind, thanks John! Glad to know you enjoyed iSimangaliso’s wildlife so much.
Those horns in the first shot; magnificent!
And the Kudus at iSimangaliso are especially impressive!
Terrific collection! I loved seeing the mongoose and would love to see one in person.
Thank you! The Banded Mongooses can be quite naughty when they get into a fridge or cupboard – but they’re too cute to stay mad at!
Great photos!
Thank you, Amy!
