The Bateleur is a medium-sized, and very colourful, eagle. This one was photographed south of Satara, in the Kruger National Park.

A very striking looking raptor…. built for the kill!
They definitely are very eye-catching birds. Pity that they have become increasingly rare outside the major game reserves.
