Today we arrived at Shingwedzi in the far north of the Kruger National Park, where we will be spending the last 3 nights of our winter holidays.

En dit lyk my, Shingwedzi is die perfekte plek om heelwat diere te sien! Ek hou van die waterbokke. En hoe lekker dat Joubert ‘n mede fotograaf vriend saam met hom kan hê.
Shingwedzi is beslis een van die beste kampe vir wildkyk in die hele Wildtuin, Corna.
Another excellent job by Joubert and great animal sightings. The dark giraffe is new to me.
Some mature giraffe bulls have very dark coats, but this one was exceptional!
Leeuwyfies lyk naby aan kraam. Lekker saam gekuier. Dankie vir die mooi fotos wat jy so getrou opsit.
Ons het ook opgemerk dat sy swaar dragtig is, Ineke. Goeie oog!
Voel so amper of daar ‘n tweeling kan wees.
Heel waarskynlik, Ineke. Leeuwyfies gee selde net aan een welpie geboorte.
Nie besef dat hul meestal twee of dalk meer welpies kry nie.
The zebra look pretty darn small next to that elephant!
Olifants River…of course, I read it as Elephant’s River. 🐘
And that’s not even a big elephant, Lois! You weren’t off the mark with the Elephant’s River either – Olifant is Afrikaans for the grey behemoths.
