You’d be hard pressed to find more photogenic animals in Africa than zebras, and they’re not boring to watch either. This is just a few of the photographs of Plains Zebras that Joubert and I collected during our December 2021 visit to the Kruger National Park.

Pragtige foto’s! Zebras het sulke interessante patrone!
Dit is beslis so, Aletta. Vir my is dit wonderlik om te sien hoe die patrone saamsmelt wanneer hulle in n trop beweeg.
Ongelooflik
These are wonderful!
Thank you very much, Kathy!
I enjoy these photographs very much and agree that zebras get that photo-trigger ginger itching. The header portrait is particularly beautiful and I like the three heads together. The markings on every zebra is different – even each side of a zebra is different – small wonder that they are so eye-catching 🙂
Thank you very much, Anne. What fascinates me even more than the uniqueness of each zebra’s pattern is how those stripes blend together when they move as a group – especially when moving through mopane! I can see why scientists think it confuses a predator.
Yes, one needs to see them in action to understand that.
Zebras are cool animals! I like them. Thanks, D. 🙂
Of course we agree wholeheartedly, H.J!
Hul is beslis fotogenies en recte akteurs ook.
They most certainly are a striking animal.
Our game reserves just wouldn’t be the same without them!
Like all babies, the baby zebras look cute and playful. Great shots by you and Joubert!
Thank you, Hien
