It´s a very beautiful antelope, and it seen very big.
It is probably our most colourful antelope, John, but not as big as it seems in the picture. Mature rams weigh around 70kg; compare that to the 800kg+ for our biggest antelope, the eland!
I think when I leave Durban I will try and get a property in Swellendam, very close to Bontebok National Park. They really are attractive antelope.
And if you get a WILD Card, Kim, you can enter daily for next to nothing!
Gosh, I bought a wild card about 20 years ago but haven’t used it for years, I don’t even know where it is so I will buy another one! I am really enjoying your holiday.
