This past weekend Joubert and I took a short camping breakaway to a new destination for us; the Nylsvley Nature Reserve in Limpopo Province.

Father and son time at Nylsvley
Of course we’ll tell you more about our trip, and the reserve, in an upcoming edition of de Wets Wild!

Pa en seun!! Tog te oulik!!
Is dit nie!?
Haha, great picture and how apt! Can see through your main post you had a wonderful time.
We did indeed, Maurice. Nylsvley was a wonderful surprise package and we really should return around February next year to see it inundated (if the rains play along).
Wetlands in our part of the world offer different spectacles and experiences throughout the wet and dry seasons. I’m already looking forward to Nylsvley in full glory!
A delightful picture. There is no better environment than the bush. Hope you have a great time.
We had a wonderful time, Kim. As always just never long enough…
That’s a great shot and perfect caption!
Thanks a lot, Montucky!
I look forward to it…but I’ll tell you in advance – not an ostrich fan – I once had one eat my shoe!
Now of course you are going to have to tell us the whole story, Kathy!
There you can talk about size difference. 🙂
Absolutely amazing to think the little one will on day be the same size!
That photo is precious… so will be the stories you share about the new adventures!
We were very impressed with Nylsvley and can’t wait to take Mom along next time!
so cute!
Tiny little legs were spinning to keep up with Dad!
Ha, I love that shot! Have a marvelous time (as I know you will.)

Thanks very much, Janet. Nylsvley was a treat and we really hope we can return soon!
That’s a beautiful photo for Father’s Day! 🙂
Thanks very much!
