They do get a bad rap in the movies, don’t they Kathy. But actually they are a pretty important player in the ecosystem, so we should be paying them more respect!

India has a kingfisher that is beautiful beyond words–regal and intelligent too. Then there is the common Myna bird that is so loved because of its sounds. I have wondered at times if the Myna can mock other birds or if all those calls are their own.
The world’s birds bring pleasure and beauty to so many peole!
