We’re spending the Women’s Day long weekend at Thendele, in the Royal Natal National Park. We couldn’t have asked for a more glorious winter’s day. We’ve been hiking and having picnics all day, and now we’re kicking back in one of the most beautifully situated camps in the country.

Please allow me to be jealous! It looks stunning
It is every bit as breathtaking as the picture shows, and much more!
Dit bly maar altyd ‘n ongelooflike plek!!
Die natuurskoon hier is asemrowend, Aletta! Ek sit nou op ons stoep die grootheid van die Amfiteater en bewonder.
The scene on photo is breathtaking – it is hard to believe the reality is even more so, but it is!
Your weather seems ideal. I know to my cost how depressing it is when the mountains go into sulk mode for an entire visit, and one simply has to imagine them being there.
The weather here can change very quickly and without warning. That we learned during a previous visit to Royal Natal, when we also didn’t have very much sunshine. And we agree 110% – no matter how pretty the pictures, the reality of standing below the magnificent amphitheatre is just so much more awesome!
Ek is skoon jaloers!Dis ‘n pragtige plek daardie!Geniet dit,Dries.
Sekerlik een van die mooiste plekke in die hele Drakensbergreeks. Was jy al hier, Dina?
Ja Dries,so sewe jaar gelede.Heeltemal te lank terug!
Ek kan dink! Ons was 3 jaar terug laas hier, en ek skop myself dat ons nie meer gereeld hier uitkom nie!
Kan nie wag vir die foto’s nie … geniet dit!
Dankie Tina! Die kameras werk behoorlik oortyd in hierdie mooi omgewing.
So beautiful there. Enjoy. 🙂
We definitely are enjoying it so much, thanks Sylvia!

Thank you very much! Indeed, a very apt description for this lovely place.
Amazing… Hope you like our blog also.
Thanks for the invitation! We’ll be sure to spend some time at “A Wandering Memory” as soon as we’re back in the city with access to a better quality internet connection.
