It’s the Workers’ Day long weekend in South Africa, and we find ourselves at the tiny camp at Kamberg, in the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park. It is our first time at Kamberg, and thus far we’re quite impressed with what we found.

Ek hoop jy gaan bietjie meer vertel van hierdie plek…dit lyk so mooi!
O beslis Dina! Ons eerste besoek aan Kamberg en ons gaan defnitief moet terugkom vir “seconds”!
Looks so peaceful there. 🙂 Lovely capture.
Very peaceful Sylvia, even this past long weekend when normally you’d find crowds everywhere!
Het julle in ge spring??? 😉
Nee dankie, die water is ysig!
Can’t say I know this area… looks tranquil enough…
Funny you should mention “tranquil” Bulldog, I was going to title my next blogpost “Tranquil Kamberg” with a photo of the beautiful sunrise here this morning (before cloud cover set in).
Kamberg lies in the valley of the Mooi River in the Drakensberg, to the west of the small Midlands towns of Nottingham Road and Rosetta.
I love that Joubert has his camera ever-ready!
😀
He’d go to bed with his camera if we’d give him half-a-chance!
So tranquil.. I love it. What a wonderful country to raise children.
we couldn’t agree with you more Sheila!
