In the pound seats at Kumasinga

The fantastic Kumasinga Hide is one of the uMkhuze Game Reserve‘s major attractions. The hide is built in the middle of a natural-looking waterhole and offers uninterrupted views and excellent photographic opportunities right around. During our visit to uMkhuze in December 2014 we spent several hours every day at the hide, enthralled by the spectacle of literally hundreds of animals and birds making their way to the water to slake their thirst in the oppressive summer heat.

We have lots more to share from our uMkhuze visit, so please join us again next week!

All the images bring back so many wonderful memories of wild life and the landscape of South Africa. The sights and smells are still buried deep in my soul and you continue to awaken them with your posts dear de Wets. The zebra reflection is by far my favorite although it was hard to chose with so many to chose from. Have a lovely weekend. Hope you get a chance to escape the madness of the city soon dear de Wets 😉

Thank you very much Joey! I admit that the zebra reflection is my favourite too. I can just imagine the kind of photographs you and Marks would come back from Kumasinga with. For me, as long as the photos give a sense of the place, I am happy. But thank you for the very kind compliments, as always!
