South Africa, you beauty!
Yep, we have a beautiful country, don’t we Charlene! Welcome!
Now that’s a place I’d love to see in person! Gorgeous photos!
Thanks Lindy! Bourke’s Luck is easily accessible and many tour companies include it in their itineraries; when you make it to South Africa, be sure to pay a visit 😉
totally Kewl 😎 .. 🙂 ………
It is Q! I can just imagine the action sports you’d consider there 😉
How beautiful and thats DEEP ! I like the background too!
Thanks Kathryn!
Stunning photos, as always!
Thank you very much Shelly!
Ek like dit baie as jy fotos wys van ons wêreld hier naby. Pragtige fotos. Alhoewel ons miskien mekaar nie sien nie, kan ons tenminste mekaar se besoekplekke saam geniet.
Dit is so Spokie!
wow how did you get so high?
Welcome here, Justine! There’s a well-laid out network of footpaths and bridges connecting the various viewpoints, from where one can look down into the gorge.
sounds great fun, a way to explore x
What a beautiful part of the world!
It really is one of its kind here in South Africa, Joanne. Beautiful and yet so rugged.
Pragtig!
Dis dieselfde by Sossusvlei in Namibie.Die eerste keer wat ons daar was,was dit wonderlik stil.Twee kere daarna…mense, mense, mense!
Mens wil nou nie suining wees nie, maar in die middel van die woestyn wil mens darem nie hordes ander mense om jou he nie!
Incredible depth … love the colors on the canyon. : )
Thank you very much Isadora!
^ THIS! I’m awestruck. Truly, I am.
Here are my shots:
Thank you Isabelle; loved your entry, especially the wide river valley!
Welcome here at de Wets Wild!
Depth and beauty!
Thank you Ann-Christine!
wow..that’s scary! 🙂 amazing photos very apt to the theme.
Thanks for visiting with us again Moon!
Wonderful shots.
Thanks Jane!
That looks like a fantastic place to visit. Is the water rough, or can people go swimming or rafting in there?
The water’s extremely rough through the potholes Capt Jill, and the rocks very, very sharply edged; I certainly wouldn’t encourage anyone to try and navigate the rapids at this point of the river course 😉
Beautiful shots. 🙂
Thank you Imelda!
Stunning place to visit. Depth for sure!
Baie dankie vir die bydrae Ineke!
😀
These absolutely astound me, amazing!
Thanks Ladybuggz! Bourke’s Luck is a very interesting place for sure.
How simply stunning! Thank you for these images, which capture the theme perfectly.
Thank you for the very kind contribution, Nikk & Jan!
What fascinating shapes! A place I never got to in SA. Sadly…
All the more reason to come visit us again Jude!
Well, never say never…
What an incredible place.
One of those that makes you feel small compared to the power of nature around you, Maamej!
The erosion patterns and textures reminds of similar patterns we observed on a naturalist expedition in the San Juan Islands… I will look for the photos and do a second “Depth” posting later in the week for you to compare. Love this ❤
~Jane
Looking forward to it, thanks Jane!
Amazing! Helen
The photos hardly do it justice, Helen; you should come and see it in real life, hear the thunder of the water through the boulders and potholes.
