The much-maligned hyena! I have some pretty ghoulish photos of them fighting over a carcass but didn’t think of them until I saw your shot. Excellent!
Can’t wait to see those Tish!
Thanks for visiting with us again ;-)!
Great photo for eerie!!
Thank you very much Janaline!
I love Hyena’s laugh and one has to eat. 😛
They’re fascinating animals Seeker, we love them too! Thanks for visiting!
I always found hyenas creepy however one saw them. But this is REALLY eerie.
Thanks for contributing to de Wets Wild again Tish! I’m always excited when we encounter hyenas, they seem so purposeful, as if they’re always heading somewhere with a plan…
Keeps you guessing when things go bump in the middle of the night in the bush and here emerging at first light is evidence of a much harsher scene… Love this pic though … breakfast for the family?
We assumed so Liz, or maybe a “doggy bag” for lunch ;-). Thanks for the feedback!
Those eyes…………………………………
makes you’re skin crawl, doesn’t it? Welcome here, Fliss and Robert!
Our younger daughter loves hyenas. 🙂 I don’t know if this is eerie, but I like the photo.
