Free Spirit

A White Rhinoceros, photographed in the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park in South Africa – feeling safe and free to laze around wherever it chooses for however long it cares to do so. Ironic, as these creatures currently face an immense threat from poaching.

More on our latest visit to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park.

Not sure when this was shot but it is a great perspective of a regal creature. Hard to tell how big the Rhino is except through estimating the tree size. But I do not need to know…I just assume HUGE. Thanks.

Thanks for spending some time at one of our older posts, in fact our first ever entry in the weekly photo challenge almost three years ago! Indeed, the white rhino is enormous; the biggest land mammal after the two kinds of elephants.
