After spending two nights in the Great Karoo, today we traversed four scenic mountain passes to move to the next destination on our 2020 summertide ramble. This is the view we enjoyed at sunset this evening from the verandah of our cosy little chalet in the Bontebok National Park.

Stunning sunset! I bet you enjoyed the mountain passes!
We’re planning a special post on at least one of the passes – the Swartberg Pass. What a road!
Another gem of the Western Cape😃
We’ve really fallen in love with this little Park!
Peace & serenity. I yearn for farm life again after only 4 yrs in Stilbay
Stilbaai has really grown so much of late, B. Davidtsz, that I really cannot blame you! We actually took a quick detour there today and it was buzzing with people despite the overcast and blustery conditions.
What’s not to like?😉
You’ll hear absolutely no complaints from us, Janet!
We just watched “Holiday in the Wild” again last night and as it’s about Africa and elephants, I thought of all of you as we did. 🙂

“The elephant scenes were filmed at a sanctuary in South Africa, and at Game Rangers International Elephant Orphanage in Lusaka, Zambia.:
We actually watched the movie on Netflix quite recently too, right in the midst of our “lockdown” and must admit those scenes of an untouched Africa and her citizens had our hearts aching to flee to the bush…
It’s our newest Christmas movie. Just makes us so happy.
Spectacular shot, Dries. 😍
Thanks a lot, Sylvia!
Ahhhh! Simply beautiful. 😊
It truly is, Irene.
Very impressive shot, D.! 🙂
Thank you, H.J!
It looks a beautiful view!
Oh it is, Anne, One you struggle to drag yourself away from. Thank goodness for mosquitoes! 😀
