Our long drive to Nwanedzi and Tshokwane this morning was handsomely rewarded (we didn’t expect anything less), so we spent the afternoon hours lazing around our shady camping spot at Satara.

And what an elegant Lapwing!!
Like long-legged models on the catwalk!
Wonderful! What diversity…
Exactly what makes the Kruger Park one of the most deserving protected areas on the planet!
That’s a rather attractive buzzard. I also like the owl and the hidden leopard. The synchronized swimmers brought a big smile.

I really should’ve taken a video of those elephants – you would’ve laughed out loud, Janet!
I can just imagine.
Ha! I do love the synchronized swim team. I give them a 10!
Watch out for them at the Tokyo Olympics later this year! 😀
The composition of the photos of the Woodland Kingfisher and the Guinea Fowl I thought were different and very artistic. Another excellent crop of photos of your sightings.
That’s very kind of you, thank you Petru!
Wow again! Fabulous to see the eagle owls!
Absolutely, Carol – not often we see the chicks interacting with their parents.
Love the synchronized swimming shot! Hope you all had a beautiful Christmas. 🙂
Our Christmas was richly blessed, thank you Kathy. I hope your’s too?
That’s a nice gallery of species. I think it was worth the long drive! 🙂
Thanks, H.J. It really was another great day to be out exploring Kruger Park.
