Impala Street is a road through the staff village at Skukuza in the Kruger National Park, and it leads past the indigenous nursery where the public may purchase local plants for their gardens at very reasonable cost. And just to prove how well deserved the name is, a male Impala was available to pose perfectly on cue for Joubert to take this picture in September.
We should have taken a drive to Lion Street, just in case…

Nice shot!
Thanks John, I’ll pass your comment to Joubert!
Where’s the nyala??
(Sorry… couldn’t resist…) 😉
Wel gedaan Joubert! 🙂
It could well have been just a little down the road, on the next corner, AJ, for nyalas too are a common sight in the Skukuza staff village. We even saw one browsing on a bush outside the police station!
Perfekte tydsberekening, Dries!
Dit was weereens Joubert se handewerk hierdie, Aletta. Ek sal jou gelukwensing oordra!
Fantasties👍
🙂 Quick thinking Joubert!
Had that camera up to his face in a flash!
Great shot, Joubert! 😁
Thank you, Siobhan!
Kudos vir Joubert! Impala is blykbaar sy spesialiteit – deesdae ten minste.
Dit help natuurlik dat hulle so volop is!
Ha-ha!!
Impalas are streamlined animals.
They sure are, Beth. Real sprinters!
I’d have headed to Cheetah Way 🙂
Also a very good option!
And there I thought only humans did things like that 🙂
Who knew Impalas are so good at knowing where they belong!?
Dis regtig kostelik!
Baie dankie, Tannie Frannie!
Great shot by Joubert. 👏🏻 Impala in the right place at the right moment. 😃
Thank you, Sylvia! Perfect timing for a great memory.
“Oh look, they named this after me!”
