Expedition Shingwedzi – Update 21 June 2019

I had trouble deciding whether to show you the beautiful lions we saw today near Babalala Picnic Spot, or the beautiful leopard we saw within a stone’s throw from Punda Maria Rest Camp. So, I will show you both!

    The leopard is totally relaxed but the lion is casting a slightly baleful look! Wonderful and thanks for sharing both. Glad to hear that you didn’t have to endure any combat game viewing around the cats.

      We had such a wonderful experience in Northern Kruger, Carol – I can’t believe we spent almost ten days there as it seems to have sped past in a blur! Even with it being school holidays and long weekends there really never was a crowded feeling in the camps or on the roads.

    I can only say… WOW!!! The lion is absolutely so sweet, but the leopard pic is amazing! How do you took that pic of the shy leopard? 😊 As I said before, I´m not jealous of you…😂

      Thank you very much, John! We were very lucky to come across a leopard that is so relaxed around vehicles, and in the north of Kruger, where there’s fewer visitors, there’s no jostling for position around such a prized sighting so you really can select the best angle!
