Apart for Cape Vidal and the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, we can’t think of any other place in South Africa (or the world) where you can end a day of fun at the beach with a fantastic sighting of a leopard walking mere centimeters away from your car window. And that’s exactly how our day played out!

Leopard sighting on the Grassland Loop – 15th June 2015

I love leopards, but it is the one animal I always seem to miss seeing. Frustrating.
Then you really should go visit Cape Vidal, Colonialist! Spend the early morning and late afternoon on the loop roads between Cape Vidal and Mission Rocks 😉
Now that’s a lovely crisp shot, not so easy to achieve.
Thank you very much for the kind compliment!
Kan my goed indink. Ongerep want die moderne apparate werk nie daar nie.
Dis so mooi daar! Pragtige foto’s!
Baie dankie Aletta. Dis beslis een van ons mooiste bestemmings, en sover dit die de Wets aangaan by verre die mooiste strand in die land!
Dit is waar!
Now that’s a good day!
Absolutely! Makes it sooooo difficult to return to the daily slog…
Love the ‘surf and turf’ beach and bush combo of iSimangaliso. Our daughter did some fantastic horse riding there, one moment riding between crocs and hippo’s, the other galloping on the beach – in the meantime, as parents waiting for her to return, we watched a humpback playing in the surf. No other place in the world indeed.
Terrific memories Maurice!
And precisely the kind of reasons why we return again and again and again….
I’m in awe…
As were we Amy!
Agree, I cant stop going back to Vidal, the sea, the bush all in one, and the fact that town is 45 min away is also quite nice
I still remember your video of the drive into Cape Vidal, Killaval!
Nice to hear from you again.
Wow!!
You can say that again! 🙂
