We woke up this morning to find the valleys of the Golden Gate Highlands National Park cloaked in a thick fog, drove to one of the mountain tops, found a spot above the low lying clouds, and were rewarded with the most beautiful sunrise.

Sunsets get all the glory, but then there is sunrise! ! I think because most people are still under the covers in bed :)- beautiful shot.

Fortune favours the brave,you guys: we were always terrified of fog when driving on strange roads in Italy, thinking there could be landslip anywhere. But then, I guess you actually know most of these roads, yes …?
