Thick fog and heavy clouds blanketing the Blyde River Canyon, in South Africa’s Mpumalanga Province.

We’re participating in the online adventure travel and photography magazine LetsBeWild.com‘s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge for bloggers. This week’s challenge is “Clouds”

My family doesn’t understand this, but I find dark, heavy clouds like this exhilirating. Great pictures!
Thanks Juliann! I also love watching storm clouds gathering, billowing with immense latent power, then releasing it all with spectacular thunder and lightning. And the smell when those first drops of rain hit the dusty soil!
Are those choppers I see?? Reminds me of the mountain flying days… loooong ago! 😉
That’s correct AJ!
Sightseeing flips over the escarpment is a popular pastime for those who can afford it…
Beautiful Spirits, such are the clouds! Though I am not a professional photographer…I have an insane collection of clouds shots in hopes of ‘painting’ them…the AWE of them.
Thank you for joining us at de Wets Wild! We’l keep an eye on “A MYth STORY” to check out your cloud photos 😉
oh, the beauty you live in…even when surrounded by clouds,
We sure do live in a beautiful part of the world and we wouldn’t willingly exchange it for anywhere else on the planet. South Africa is so woven into our fabric that we’d go to pieces anywhere else. Thanks for visiting Ritva!
Clouds here look the same what with the rains.
Great for snuggling in bed just a little longer on a Sunday morning!
Beautiful clouds!
Thank you scrapydo!
🙂
In the first photo, I like how you captured the clouds beyond, behind, etc.
Thanks for the kind comment Shannon!
