   If I were cheetah, I would hate to have such an enormous tracking collar on my throat. Can’t they make smaller ones?

      They do make smaller collars, and even chips, Marianne, but unfortunately the cost escalates as the size gets smaller, and our reserves and researchers have very limited budgets. Though these collars seem bulky they’re not very heavy and no hindrance to the cheetah.
