Converge

Tracks in the sand bear witness that these pools in the Shingwedzi River are a magnet for animals in the northern Kruger National Park

Converge

How’s the voting going? I voted again, I hope it helps! Also voted with a few of my other addresses. Lekker skelm!! 😉

(I suggested to the organisers of the awards to have a Expat category as well… maybe next year we can vote for each other!!) 😛

Unfortunately there’s no way to gauge how the voting’s going AJ – I can only see how many clicks went from our blog to the awards site. Voting’s open until 31 December though, so here’s holding thumbs 😉

      THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!

The way I understand the rules AJ, they count only the last vote in any category from any specific e-mail address. So, if you use the same address to vote for us repeatedly, it should still count as only 1 vote. And, if you were to vote for another blog in the same category later on, your vote will switch from our blog to the other.

Learning to recognise the different tracks, and interpreting the animal’s behaviour from it, adds a fascinating dimension to one’s enjoyment of the outdoors, Jane.

And I’m glad we could add a new Afrikaans word to your vocabulary 😉

Thank you very much Vonn Scott Bair.

Visible on this photo is mostly elephant, buffalo and hippopotamus tracks; you’d have to enlarge it quite a bit to clearly see the much smaller hoofprints of the antelope, which shows up just as hundreds of little dots among the bigger animals’ spoor on this picture.
