What a happy shot… It made me smile. 🙂

Oh thank you eof737 – I think the picture captures perfectly the extents we’ll go to to spend time together in the outdoors!

Thanks very much! It was a lovely day to be out in nature – though this picture was taken some while ago – Joubert’s recently turned three years old and these days have taken a liking to trail running rather than his parents’ slow sauntering (difficult keeping up with that much energy). I can share with you though, as I know you’d appreciate it, that we’ve been experiencing a heat wave (temperatures in the mid to high thirties centigrade) the last couple of days that was broken by a breathtaking thunderstorm yesterday evening – awe-inspiring stuff.

Oh that is too cool. Thanks so much for sharing. I do so miss the “rains down in Africa”. There’s nothing like a good thunderstorm and the smell of Africa lingering in your nose. You make me so homesick but I love it. Love that I grew up there and wouldn’t change a thing. Wow those sure are high temperatures. I don’t remember it ever being that hot. We get that hot here in Florida and then we have 100% humidity to top it off. Right now it’s cooler as we’re going into winter.
I can imagine that Joubert is giving you a run for your money. 2 and 3 year olds sure do have boundless energy. Makes you wonder if you were ever that young or that energetic. Have a great day.
