Can a normal sedan car make it to Tlopi tented camp?

You can reach Tlopi in a normal sedan, Ray. We’ve done it many times in a Honda Jazz. There are however some very rocky patches as well as sections where rainwater runoff has cut wide, deep ditches in the road surface – on the way to Tlopi as well as on the game-viewing routes – so it takes careful maneuvering if you’re in a lower vehicle. If you can my suggestion would definitely be to go in a vehicle with higher clearance.

The big sun that is low in the horizon is strikingly beautiful among beautiful photos. 🙂

Thank you very much Imelda for visiting and commenting, we really do appreciate it! Sunset is a magical time to be out in the wild places of South Africa – there’s a calmness that descends on your soul as the sun dips over the horizon that’s hard to explain to someone else – you have to experience it for yourself.

Thank you Lagottocattleya! Marakele is yet another beautiful national park, with a rich diversity in scenery and wildlife. We’ll definitely be featuring it in a post in the not-too-distant future.
